....................
When I was smaller there used to be an
ice-cream truck which drove around the town playing the tune and once
a week it drove through the street we lived. We sometimes bought
ice-cream from there but it was much more expensive than in a store
and they only sell ice-cream bars and ice-cream cones from the truck.
They came in different sized boxes and our grandmother usually bought
the ones which were very small (it only took like 5 bites before we'd
eaten them) and there was like 50 in one package. Our mom didn't buy
them that often because she used to buy it from the store. I may have
forgotten to tell that our grandparents live right next door to our
house, just to clear things up so that you don't wonder how this is
geographically possible.
On a very lovely summer day when the sun was shining bright and we had eaten the meal at home we got an ice-cream cones for dessert. After we'd eaten them outside our mom went back in to do some chores and we stayed outside. During summer time we practically lived outside rather than inside the house. We only got in for meals and sleep (sometimes not even for that because we liked to sleep in our playhouse with our pillows and blankets).

My brother had the best idea ever: we should try to get an extra ice-cream cones from our grandmother. We would just simply not tell her that our mom already had given us both one at home. So we ran to our grandparents house and asked if we could have cones because we had eaten the meal properly. She said of course and then she "threw" us out because she was cleaning. My brother almost ate his before I had had the wrappers off. He still had a small piece from the cone and he dropped it on the ground on a yard stones, stepped on it and mushed and spread it well on the stone. At this point I didn't have a clue what he was up to, I was just happy because I had my ice-cream.
After that he went
back inside and created a fake cry "Grandma, my ice-cream
fell on the ground and the sun melted it on the stones". Our
grandmother, being the nicest person in the world just smiled and
said "It's fine, don't worry. You can take another one from
the freezer." And she gave my brother another, watched as he
ran outside, climbed to a tree near the house so high that our
grandmother couldn't reach him if she wanted. Then he yelled "Hahaaa!
I only fooled you! I already ate my ice-cream and melted a bit on the
ground. Now you have to give another one to Sarppa as well!"
Of course she gave me one but after that she always asked first from
our mom if we had had ice-cream before giving us any.
Lesson: Don't fool your dear
grandmother.
But if you do, don't tell her the plot – keep it as a secret and it may work some other time too.
